CarolingSecond grade parents, you have probably heard from your child that we will be singing Christmas carols around the school. We have been practicing for weeks. Ashaway students will carol to classrooms on Wednesday, December 20th and Hope Valley students will carol to classrooms on Thursday, December 21st. Students are welcome to bring in/wear festive attire such as red and green clothes, santa hats, reindeer antlers, etc. I will record each class singing for parents to view, so stay tuned! FerdinandI will be going to see the movie Ferdinand at Regal Cinemas in North Stonington this Saturday, December 16 at 4:20pm. It is a PG rated animated film about a friendly bull in Spain who is taken from his home when he is mistaken as dangerous. If any parents, students, or teachers are also interested in going to see Ferdinand, I would love to see you there! The movie comes out on Friday so it will still be very new. It might be a good idea to purchase your tickets in advance. And keep in mind that you would need to go on your own and stay with your child as you normally would.... this is not a Señora Carpenter sponsored field trip! :)
