Although Thanksgiving is only celebrated in the U.S. and Canada, students were happy to use our Spanish vocabulary to make turkeys and share what we are thankful for this week. Mrs. Haberek and Mrs. Lily's classes wrote what they are thankful for on a feather and we added it to a class turkey. Second grade played a game where they added feathers to a turkey and colored them based on what number they rolled on a dice. Check out Trinity and Landon's above (Mrs. Pierce's class) as well as Jude's as he worked on it (Mrs. Gray's class). Mrs. Zonfrilli's class colored a color-by-number turkey then glued him to a yellow paper where they wrote what they are thankful for. Other classes at Ashaway will be working on these activities tomorrow!
Some of the things we are thankful for at Ashaway and Hope Valley Elementary Schools are... la familia - family las mascotas - pets la escuela - school la tecnología - technology Dios - God los amigos - friends mi casa - our houses la comida - food la ropa - clothing We are a thankful bunch! Have a Happy and healthy Thanksgiving!
